Misplaced Things

Hi Easton...it's Ama.

How was your weekend? I know it was good to get to spend time with Mommy and Daddy. Plus you got to see Pawpaw and Nana for a little while today, at least that was the plan when I talked to your dad this morning. I am glad they are close enough to come see you as often as they can. I am sure you will get to see them a lot this summer when your mom and dad are out of school. I sure am going to miss you, though, but I promise to come see you whenever I can.

I had a lucky thing happen to me today! My wallet came up missing this morning and I panicked! I couldn't find it anywhere, and the last place I remembered having it was at the Dollar General store where I stopped on the way back from taking you home on Friday. I was kind of distracted because i was needing to get over to Braums to get dinner for Papa after I shopped at DG. Well, to make a long story short, when I got ready to go for my haircut this morning, I couldn't find my wallet, which was the first that I knew it was even missing. I looked high and low for it here and was late for my appointment by a few minutes. The only thing I knew to do was to go back to Dollar General and see if they had found it. Well....that is when I got lucky. They HAD found it, and the young assistant manager said. "you're in luck, we do have it." I almost cried and gave him a big hug when he brought it out to me. It had so many important things in there that I would have been in real trouble if I hadn't found it! Come to find out, there was a message on our answering machine from yesterday afternoon letting me know that they had it in safe keeping and could come by to get it at my convenience. I had just failed to check my messages yesterday, or I could have gotten it then. I was very grateful to them for letting me know they had it, even though I failed to check the message in a timely fashion....lesson learned!!

Anyway, my point in telling you this story is to make you a promise!!! I will never misplace you! I may misplace a lot of things around here, but I will always be sure that you are within arms reach whenever you are in my care, and that's a promise!

I love you, Sweet Baby E...
Ama
