6 months old

Hi, Easton...it's Ama.

Yesterday was your 6 month birthday! Where has this past half year gone? You are growing up by leaps and bounds, much too fast for my liking. But at the same time, it is fun to see you try new things and learn to control your little body with a purpose that is indeed admirable. You are trying hard to crawl and can sit for pretty long periods of time without falling over. You love your toys and like to make them sing or make their noises over and over again. You have two new bottom teeth and you are starting to eat cereal and baby food. I am not sure veggies are going to be your favorite things, but the verdict is still out on that. You had your six month checkup this past week and you weighed a little over 16lbs and were 26.25 inches long. All in all, a healthy, happy little boy. You did, however, have to have shots again, which didn't make you too happy. It is going to be interesting to see what the next 6 months' developments will be...and if Ama can keep up! She'll have to really be on her toes!

Tomorrow you will begin your stay with me and Papa while Mommy and Daddy go back to work. We are so excited that you will be staying with us again. I can't wait to spend time with you during the week and watch you grow and try new things. We are going to have a good time. I know you are going to miss Mom and Dad because you have spent all summer with them, but just know that they will miss you too and will look forward to seeing you when their work day is over. I promise to take good care of you and help make your day as interesting as possible. You always brighten my day with your happy smiles. I am so thankful for this time we have together...

See you in the morning.
Love,
Ama
