Hi Easton...it's Grandma.
Today you are two months old and cute as a button...well, in weeks, you are 8 weeks old, and in my book, that is pretty close to two months. I guess in calendar talk we would have to wait until the 16th to qualify you as a two month old. At any rate, you are growing way too fast to suit me! I love this tiny cuddle stage where you are beginning to react to things around you and are getting ready to discover those appendages at the end of your arms called hands. You are very close to being able to grab hold of things or at least bat at them. But enough about your age...
Let's talk about our first week together, shall we. It couldn't have been more enjoyable for me! Don't know how you feel about it, but you seemed to adjust to being at our house pretty well. I definitely think you missed being with your mom, as the sight of both mom and dad brought an instantaneous smile to your face. You do SO recognize your parents already. I know it is an adjustment for Mommy, but she only has a few more weeks to go before summertime when she can be with you a lot more for a while.
Today is Daddy's birthday, and I am keeping you for the evening while Mom and Dad go to a Ranger game to celebrate the occasion. You were kind of out of sorts today and wouldn't sleep much, so I am hoping that is not the result of your first week at Ama's house. We should be able to get into a pretty good schedule as I get used to having you with us during the day. We'll all get it worked out...but rest assured that keeping you is my heart's desire right now. I just couldn't stand the thought of you having to go to stay someplace else when I am so HERE!! and just so thankful that I am able to be your 'nanny grammy'.
I love you, Sweet Baby E!
Ama
