Hi sweet baby boy! It's Ama.
You got to come home from the hospital today with mom and dad...your first car ride. There was a welcoming party there to greet you...Nana, Papa j, and Ama were all there to witness your arrival at your new home. Aunt Jen and Uncle Brady got a sign to put on the garage door and a sign and balloons for the yard to let everyone know that you have arrived. It is so good to have you out of that ole hospital. Mom and Dad were soooo glad to get you home. Papa went all the way to Waxahachi to get a brisket from HEB, so we had brisket sandwiches for lunch.
Your Nana is here to help Mom and Dad out for this first week. She and I went to the grocery store and got lots of food so Mom and Dad won't have to worry about going to the grocery store for a while. And lots of people want to bring over meals and food, so you will all be well taken care of for weeks. Your Grandpa Hancock had to go out of town, so he missed all the fun, but he will be back on Wednesday to see you. He has called several times today checking on everyone. Uncle Brady and Aunt Jenn came over soon after you got home to welcome you to the new house. They live right across the street and I am sure you will see lots and lots of them in the days, weeks and years ahead.
You are such a beautiful little baby...so handsome, with perfect little features. I can just sit and look at you for hours at a time, and I can't take enough pictures!! Please forgive me for flashing in your face! I try to remember to take off the flash so it won't startle you. You liked your little baby bed with the vibrator and the music. You liked listening to the music and just lay there with your eyes wide open looking around the room. It was so cute. Some of Mom's teammates were coming to see you and you showed off for them by staying wide awake.
I am so glad your first day is going well and that you liked your new home. It will be interesting to see how your first night goes. I hope you will have a very restful night.
So welcome home, little Easton. We are all so glad you are finally here!
I love you,
Ama
