14 days old

Hi sweet baby Easton...it's Ama.

Today you are two weeks old! My how did that happen? You are such a good baby most of the time. You have an occasional spell of crying but the times I have been around, you have been either sleeping or content to gaze around trying to make sense of your world. Noise does not bother your sleep, and I have not seen you flinch once at the loud noises around you...Harley barking, people laughing, tv going, phones ringing...none of those sounds seem to bother you in the least, awake or asleep. That is a good thing, because you will need to be able to sleep with a lot of commotion going on around your house.

Nana and PaPaw came from Waco for a visit today...they had to come see how you were doing. Nana fixed a nice lunch for all of us and we had a nice visit. It is good that she is close enough to come see you on the weekends, and I am sure when you are just a little older, you will be going to their house for visit often too.

This time next week, when you are 3 weeks old, your Seattle cousin Austin will be here for a visit. He is looking forward to seeing you and so are Auntie Jocelyn and Uncle Kelly. Your dad is looking forward to spending time with his brother...they haven't seen each other since last March during their spring break when they went out to Seattle for a visit.

You are such a strong little guy, E...you hold your head up and look around and you even try to stand on your two little legs already. If you get very much tummy time before long, you are just going to take off on all fours! Don't be in such a hurry to grow up! We want you to stay tiny and cuddly for a little while longer! Babies just grow up too fast! And before you know it, a lifetime has gone by! That's the way the cycle goes...I just wish I could stop time from passing so quickly!

Have a good night, Sweet Boy.
Ama loves you!
